Digital Peer Support
Digital Peer Supporters deliver the Digital Sherpa program, offering personalized guidance and peer support to both new and existing patients, as well as their caregivers. The Digital Sherpa™ program, created by the Patient Empowerment Network, is designed to assist individuals with limited computer skills in navigating the web and accessing crucial cancer resources. The program pairs participants with trained volunteers, known as "sherpas," who support new and existing cancer patients and their caregivers in the following areas:
- Internet access and identifying credible resources
- Benefits of patient portals and telemedicine
- Navigating health with mobile devices
- Connecting through social media
- Joining online support communities

Individual & Group Support
BLARE offers virtual and in-person individual and group support sessions in wellness hubs across Michigan, providing a space to connect with others who share similar experiences. Led by licensed mental health professionals, our groups offer social and emotional support to individuals with cancer, caregivers, and those who've experienced loss. With weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly sessions, we cater to the unique needs of our community, helping you navigate your journey with understanding and connection.
